Who Can Sponsor a Sri Lankan Student?

Most embassies and institutions only allow close family members to sponsor students. Below is the order of preference:

  • Total amount they can support

This letter should match and support bank statements, income, and savings.

Acceptable Income Sources

Only legally traceable and document-supported income will be accepted:

  • Salary income (with payslips + credited bank proof)
  • Business income (with registration and bank proof)
  • Pension income (with pension ID + credited bank proof)
  • Rental income (agreement + bank transfers)

Cash-based income and unrecorded deposits are not acceptable.
